About
Temi Aderemi Okesanjo is a public sector strategy consultant in Nigeria, known for working largely behind the scenes on policy implementation, governance reform, and high level institutional strategy. With over 16 years of combined experience across the public and private sectors, her work focuses on designing and implementing solutions that strengthen institutions, improve policy outcomes, and align governance priorities with measurable impact.
She began her professional career in the financial sector at Ecobank Nigeria before transitioning into public service, where she worked with the Federal Ministry of Transportation and the Federal Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In 2018, she resigned from the civil service to establish Woodford Consulting Company, through which she has led strategy and policy implementation advisory engagements for government institutions and international organisations.
Mrs Aderemi Okesanjo has advised at the highest levels of governance in Nigeria, including engagements with the Presidency, federal ministries, departments and agencies, and global partners. Her work focuses on strengthening institutional systems, improving policy execution, and aligning government initiatives with measurable outcomes for citizens.
She currently serves as Resident Consultant for Strategy and Communications at the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), an agency under the Presidency of Nigeria. The role is notable as it represents the first time strategy has been formally incorporated into a Resident Consultant portfolio within the Commission.
Beyond Nigeria, she has participated in international policy engagements, including attending a United States Congressional hearing in Washington, D.C. regarding Nigeria’s designation as a Country of Particular Concern. Her work has also drawn international academic interest, including engagement with Harvard University regarding her development model, the African Development Impact Framework (ADIF) a systems based approach aimed at strengthening development outcomes across African institutions.
Mrs Okesanjo is also committed to social impact. Through the Temi Okesanjo Foundation, she has supported dozens of Nigerian students in accessing university education and has led community initiatives including school renovations and women’s empowerment programmes. She was also the convener of the Integrity Award Initiative, where she raised funds to present a brand new house in Lagos to an airport cleaner who demonstrated exceptional honesty an initiative that drew the attention of then President Muhammadu Buhari.
Born into a distinguished royal lineage, she is a princess and the granddaughter of Sir Adesoji Aderemi, the historic monarch who served as the first African Governor of Nigeria’s former Western Region and played a significant role in Nigeria’s journey toward independence.
Temi Okesanjo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Technology from Lead City University and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Corporate Governance from the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom.
She is a wife and a mother.
